It was indeed rare to meet people like that, and in all her time on Earth, Diana hadn’t met very many of them. It seemed she and Peter had that in common, because he seemed kind. Warm, in a way that she couldn’t quite put her finger on to put into words. Perhaps it was simply the definition of a “good” human, or a good person. It wasn’t particularly relevant now, but it did bear thinking about, perhaps. Diana was almost always thinking, somewhat distracted from conversation and mundane focus because she was considering other things.
“I do not like it here, overall. It feels… strange. I feel watched.” Diana had not mentioned that to Tony the night before, because it had only been the one occurrence, but with today’s incidents included, Diana was beginning to dislike this hotel. Or at the very least, her room, which was why she was still in the game room despite there being no power in it. “I grew up on an island, so a beach would certainly have been preferable.”
Diana had nodded in agreement as she explained, but she didn’t clarify which island or where that island might have been located. Nor did she specify with whom. She had learned a long time ago that announcing to the humans that she’d been raised amongst the Amazons on a secret island and was the daughter of a God was not a good way to make friends. As a matter of fact, she’d learned over time that Steve Trevor was a ridiculously patient man.
“I hadn’t considered it, but I suppose that is strange. After all, even just for myself, you and Tony, that is wildly different clothing sizes.” Well, perhaps not for Tony and Peter. Diana wasn’t quite sure, but with her in the mix, that was something to consider as well. This place was offering her quite a lot of food for thought, so she supposed that was a good thing. There seemed to be precious few of them, so Diana was counting her wins where she could. She crossed her arms, but the expression on her face was thoughtful rather than closed off. “There was a boat?” She asked, and then belatedly realized what he meant. “Oh. I’m sure I have the same questions anyone else does. Why are we here? Is there something to accomplish? How do we get back?” Diana shrugged, and let her arms fall.
“We’ll get that information when we get it, I bet.”
