Peter couldn't help but grin at her earnest greeting, it was more than the sort of tired acceptance that seemed so easy for people to slip into and so it was a welcome sort of change to hear that polite but honest pleasure.
He huffed softly nodding at her agreement with his suggestion, "See, yes - that's what I'm saying. A nice beach, a couple lounge chairs, maybe some umbrellas and it might not be the worst thing to be stuck here for a little while." Sure not forever, no beach was compelling enough to make Peter want to stick around forever, but for a little while until they figured this out? Peter wouldn't have complained. But here they were in a weird hotel with some sort of ghosts and no power.
Being from New York, Peter had met all sorts in his life some people were just plain nice, happy to help those around them, to befriend their neighborhood Spider-Man, to simply be decent human beings, and then there were those who were anything but decent. Diana seemed to be something else entirely, and Peter couldn't help the sort of chuckle that slipped from his mouth when she so honestly told him that she didn't receive a particle collider as part of her welcome kit. "Isn't it weird that the clothes fit?" He said instead, "Mine fit too and it's just weird, did this place check all my tags before I came or what? You think while they were doing that they could have given us a particle accelerator or two, there's science to be done here."
"Oh so you're fresh off the boat then, well I might not know much but I can try and answer any questions you might have." He offered, trying to be helpful if possible.
