Diana blinked, and probably a bit slowly, as Peter explained what he could. A year didn’t sound like all that long to her, because of course, it wasn’t, but on the other hand, she also didn’t care to spend a full year here in maybe-Scotland. She nodded as he gave his name, but there was absolutely no recognition on her face, and there wouldn’t be. She was fairly sure she knew no one here, but then again, she was basing that off of having met all of two people.
“It’s lovely to meet you,” she said politely, but she meant it. Diana truly loved people, of all sorts, and was perfectly pleased to while away just about any length of time getting to know someone. “I suppose we could indeed have been banished somewhere with more sun, if banished we are.”
And really, regardless of how they’d gotten here or why, they most certainly seemed to have been banished from wherever they’d been. Diana took a deep breath and heaved it out in a sigh, made of equal parts frustration and amusement. The humans would have called it a ‘laugh or cry situation’, but Diana didn’t know that.
It was here again that Diana showed her complete misunderstanding of humans; she knew what a particle collider was, understood what it could be used for, but didn’t understand that Peter was mostly joking with her. “No, I’m afraid I haven’t. I have a room key and there are some clothes in my room that fit me, but that seems to be all I’ve arrived here with. I doubt they’d have included a particle collider, sadly.” Diana reached up to run a hand through her hair, pushing it out of her face, and cocked her head to the side.
