Diana was not particularly good with humans on the day-to-day to begin with outside of work matters and art curation, and these of course were not the best circumstances, but she would adjust quickly enough. Diana was nothing if not adaptable, and even in the strangest circumstances she’d been in to date, she’d still found people that were kind. That mattered to her as nothing else did, and Diana focused on it as a light in the darkness of knowing literally nothing about the situation she had found herself in.
She had been taking a sip of coffee when Tony told her how long he’d been here, and to her credit, she did finish the drink of coffee. It was a hard swallow, and it shot down to her stomach with all the speed and weight of a rock, but she did manage it. “Forgive me, I…” Diana paused, unsure of how to proceed, but luckily, she was not only an Amazon. She was a daughter of Zeus, and with that came an increased heightening of all her senses, and increased processing speed as far as her thinking abilities went. “I find myself quite stunned by all of this. I had not expected that answer.”
Diana’s face betrayed every emotion she had as thoughts flowed through her mind, wondering if she would be here for eight months, if humanity would somehow manage to get itself into another hecking world war while she was here, and if that was fully her problem. Seeing as how she couldn’t do anything from where she currently sat, and Tony was telling her that he’d been trapped here for the better part of a year, Diana pushed those concerns away fairly easily.
After all, as she would tell Peter Parker later, bringing the hotel down around their ears would help no one, whether she could do it or not. She could, but all her strength didn’t matter here. Sounded about right for a magical cage. “And have you found it very easy to get cozy here, or should I expect the other residents to be less pleasant?” She wasn’t asking for gossip or drama or anything of that sort, but she did need to know if there were dangers here. “Should I expect to fight?”
