The hug was mostly for him, because she knew the weight of all she'd told him was great, but it was also for her because it grounded her a little. When she drew back, it was only enough so that she could see his face, but otherwise she kept the connection.
After letting out a quiet sigh at the question, Karen nodded. "Yeah, we're from the same point, as far as I can tell. I never expected you to be from an earlier time...Matt, if I'd known I would've asked him to be here to tell it, too." Maybe it would've been easier if they'd told him together. Shaking her hair back from her face, she figured that it wasn't the time to dwell on that.
"Are you hungry? I know there's no power, but maybe we could find something to eat in the kitchen? Or we could just stay here, if you want."
