He stretched out his hand where Snoke's sneering face had been. Had it just been his imagination. But Armitage had seen him too. Then, what had it been? One of the ghosts? Ben's eyes narrowed at the empty space. He hadn't known the hotel ghosts were capable of something like this. To be able to pull such a realistic farce over on both of them like that. What had been the point? Maybe these were mean spirits after all.
The sound of Armitage's panicked voice echoed down the hall. Ben turned on his heel immediately. He took off at a full-run. It didn't matter what was down the hall. It could have been an entire battilion of Stormtroopers ready to snuff them out and Ben still would have run to him.
He skidded across the carpet in front of Armitage. When he saw what had caused his boyfriend to call to him, he understood why the other man had pinned himself to the corridor wall. The sight of Brendol Hux even had Ben catching his breath in a sharp gasp. "Shit-" but that couldn't have been him.
"He's not real," except he still whispered. Snoke had disappeared. Would Brendol? It moved toward them both but Brendol's gaze was stuck only on his son.
