He didn’t want to open the door again but Armitage’s question hung like a knife ready to drop. “I ....I don’t know,” which was the probably the most honest answer he’d given in a long time. They couldn’t stay in the closet and avoid what was out in the hall. Though he’d recognized the face immediately, even with a glance, he had a hard time believing that what was waiting for them out there was actually who he thought it was.

Or whatever it is.” Even if it wasn’t his old master, it was something that could change its shape to look like him and any creature that could do that needed to be treated with caution. And it was clearly waiting for them. He could sense it on the other side. It didn’t feel like Snoke. There was no voice crawling through his mind. No heavy dark side energy in the Force. But even knowing all of that, he was still afraid.
His hand was still on the door. “If it is him, I can distract him long enough for you to get the others. I have my lightsaber.” It was always on his hip or nearby, for situations just like this. He started to take in a few deep breaths, preparing himself to face the old Supreme Leader. “Are you ready?”
