"Just after?" Percy echoed softly, frowning. That had to be awful. He really couldn't imagine. Being married and then ending up here with a man who didn't remember even their first kiss. It wasn't something he could help, there was nothing he could do about it, but it didn't make him feel any less guilty.
His free hand lifted to lay over the one on her chest, keeping her close for the moment, unable to keep from smiling at the gentle kiss pressed to the other.
It was a complicated thing. Something he thought he didn't need to know about. What was the point? But if it helped Vex, if there were things she needed to get off of her chest, then he would grieve twice if necessary.
"If something comes up in conversation then you can tell me. If you need to, if something is hurting you then tell me," he said sincerely. Was it Keyleth? His sister? Their home?
