"That's a new theory, but it's not any crazier than anything else." It was actually a very interesting idea, or maybe he just thought that because it was better than thinking it was completely random. "It is good that there are extroverts here. If we were all like us, everyone would stay in their rooms and where is the fun in that?"
Theo nodded, glad that Percy both seemed to understand and was willing not to push. "At least for right now. There are many other things to talk about, all of which are more pleasant for both of us, I think." Exchange of ideas and magical theory was always interesting.
"I...I think I already have," he admitted, a small smile drifting across his face as he thought of exploring Tortuga with Gilmore. The candy world and dinosaurs had been fun in their own way, but Tortuga would remain his favorite. "I...don't know if I would call my life before here terrible. Just...not happy." He wasn't sure if there was a difference there, and there had certainly been terrible things that happened. "That's my running theory, as it's very rare for your animagus form not to be your Patronus. That only happens if your Patronus is something like...a phoenix, which is even rare still."
Theo giggled at the expression on Percy's face. "I think that's why most people don't bother to try. Once they learn all the steps, the months of dedicated study that it takes, the very real chance that you could be stuck with an animal body part if you do the transformation wrong scares them away, I think." Theo thought about the rest of the questions, then shrugged. "It probably tastes as foul as mandrake leaf tea, which is very foul indeed. I hadn't thought of that. I will keep that in mind." He had another brief thought of Gilmore, and what he'd think if Theo had foul breath for a whole month, and then dismissed it.
"Actually, if you didn't mind you could look through this for any reference to the mandrake potion. I've found an incomplete set of instructions for it, so I'm going to need to piece that together." Luckily, he was very good with potions, and maybe Longbottom would be able to help once he knew what he needed. "Of course, if you want to continue with Hogwarts a History right now, I certainly would understand."
