"Perhaps that's why they chose some of us," Percy suggested. "Half of us are terrible at being social and need the help, the other half are incredibly social and are here to support us. And we can just...pair up with our opposites for a social experiment." Of all the people he'd met, the one he was closest to certainly seemed more outgoing than himself.
"Evil rich people are absolutely the worst," Percy said with a sigh. "I understand that very well. But perhaps that's a thing we can both acknowledge we have in common and not delve too much into." If Theo didn't want to share Percy completely understood. His own comparative story was far from entertaining.
His expression softened somewhat at the explanation of the patronus. "Do you think you'll make some better memories here? It seems like a very specific thing you need. What if you've all had terrible lives?" Another thing to think about. What was his happiest memory to date? Most times the world gave with one hand and took with the other, so many things were marred. "You could turn into a horse? Well, that's certainly impressive. And useful." A fox for himself, perhaps? No, maybe not.
Percy's eyebrows rose as Theo went through the steps. "That's...an awfully long time to keep a leaf in your mouth. How do you sleep without swallowing it? And eat? Does is taste okay? You might want to warn people if you're doing that, they could be concerned. Goodness me, how odd." The electrical storms were interesting, though. Percy had always enjoyed those for imbuing things with a bit more energy. And the act of pulling together notes from sources- and cross checking! - the library nerd in him was excited for Theo.
"It sound genuinely thrilling!" he beamed. "Do let me know if you want me to look through anything for you, to help speed the process along, you know?"
