"It seems like it might be worth a try - but as for ideas, I'm not one of the science or magic whizzes around here," Nat pointed out. She wasn't quite as angry now as she'd been before John knocked on her door, and it was probably thanks to him. "But you're right that something eternal might be a little...shady, to say the least. Maybe one of those who regularly communes with spirits might be able to tell you more," she suggested.
It probably should've worried her that he read her so easily, but instead she focused on what he was saying about not leaving. She could understand the caveat, and nodded her acceptance of it before stopping to draw him into a long, deep kiss. There were so many things she wasn't sure how to say just yet, but hopefully he could pick up some of how she felt through the kiss.
"Salads are perfectly reasonable food," Nat replied once the kiss was broken and they reached the gondola. With a smirk tossed his way, Natasha stepped carefully inside and sat, then held her hand out for is. "If you fall in the river, I'm not coming in after you," she warned.
