Natasha's initial reaction to Strange's post had been far stronger than she'd let on - a part of her felt extremely unsettled, even - very deep down - a little afraid. Not of what had happened, but what could have happened. She was still in the process of settling herself when she heard a knock at the door and made her way over to check the peephole. When she spotted John through it, Natasha let out a slow breath, suddenly feeling a little more at ease - and by the time she opened the door she had shoved down the uneasiness she felt several minutes later, her lips curving into a smile as she met his eyes.
"If by that you mean that I look caffeinated, I'll take it," Natasha replied just as lightly, amused and charmed - as usual - by his attitude. "I think that sounds like fun." Besides, it was better to make sure there was no danger to anyone else.
She did pause to slide her gun into a holster and a knife into one of her boots before she walked back over to the door and stepped into the hall beside him, locking the room after her. "Lead the way. Which portal are we heading for?"
