It was like the moment Clint settled himself a little more familiarly on the bed the tension he'd been carrying sort of seeped out of him, like he'd made up his mind and was going to tell Matt what he knew or thought he knew and they could move on. And even knowing Clint was going to make some sort of confession Matt was a little surprised when he admitted that he knew him in his own world and he didn't just know him as Matt Murdock he knew him as Daredevil. He was still getting used to Foggy and Karen knowing and now here was Clint and Avenger telling him he knew too and that was - well he didn't really know what that was exactly but it was something.
"Oh," He said as he looked at Clint, not with that sort of look in someone's general direction sort of look he did most of the time but he actually looked at Clint now. "So all of this -" He waved a little vaguely, "Just humoring me then?" He probably could have denied it if he really wanted to, insisted that despite what some other version of himself was in Clint's world he was just a regular man. But he was tired of it, he didn't like lying to people, he didn't like hiding so much of himself and this place was just the right kind of crazy to make it feel like maybe he didn't have to hold back quite so much.
"I'm not an Avenger where you're from, am I?" He asked suddenly, the thought coming to him and felt wildly hilarious. Surely not, no version of himself would be an Avenger, that hadn't ever been his goal, he just wanted to make his home a little bit safer.
