There was a pause of shock to hear actual excitement come from the man's voice. Finn knew Kylo's emotions ran deep and dark, had watched it and experienced it first hand as the man yelled Traitor at him and they fought, so to see and hear a boyishness, something positive, stunned Finn.
"We could probably break out of this- if we wanted," he mumbled, running his fingers along the bars that kept them upright as the ball moved around them. Finn always walked the line between following rules and shattering them. He battled himself on it all, knowing some of the rules following came from the programing from the First Order and some was the knowledge that some rules are in place for safety. Other times, he shattered expectations by forgoing what rules were set to be purer to himself. That was what had him decide to escape with Poe.
Finn chuckled. "I'm not a fan of being drenched. Though, I haven't been in the lake yet anyway." He looked over at Kylo. "I- uh- don't know how to swim. That's not exactly in basic training."
The idea of home was a foreign one to Finn. He never felt at home anywhere he was. Even amongst the rebels, there were more than a few that looked at him with suspicion. No Stormtrooper ever turned on the First Order. The only sense that he could equate to a home feel had been wherever Rey and Poe were. He was not clingy and relant on them to exist, it was merely that their presence made him feel apart of something.
