Theo delighted in Gilmore's laugh. It made him feel warm and happy, especially as he was the cause of it. There was nothing malicious in the laughter, the way there had been with so many people Theo had known back home, and he wanted to be the cause of it more often. Gilmore should always be happy, he decided. It was a good look for him.
"I look forward to that appropriate time," he said, feeling flushed with anticipation and a bit nervous too. He'd never flirted this way before, and he really wanted to find out what happened when the flirting moved into more than flirting. "I grew up with a lot of things, but it's been since coming here that I've realized that maybe things aren't as important as experiences to indulge in." He hoped that made sense. It was hard to think clearly when Gilmore was looking at him that way. "I look forward to that too."
Theo used Gilmore's distraction by boots to take a deep breath to calm himself. Then he picked through the boots as well, coming up with a pair for himself. "It's a good thing there's likely to be a lot of them in the coming weeks," he said, and he wouldn't mind spending every rainy day with Gilmore. "Yes, I've got everything I want. For now." He gave Gilmore another grin, then headed for the counter for another invigorating round of negotiations.
