Gilmore laughed out loud, ignoring the look he got from the rather startled man behind the counter. "You're absolutely right, my darling. We should keep our indecency under wraps until that appropriate time comes. Somewhere safer, more private," he added, feeling a little thrill at the very thought.
"I've never thought there was anything wrong in it, no," Gilmore replied. "I grew up without many things, and when they were finally offered to me I took them and I enjoyed them, and I don't believe that's anything to be ashamed of. Our lives our so unpredictable, the worlds are so dangerous. We should reach for the things we want." His eyes roamed slowly over Theo as he spoke, and it would have been the perfect time to pull him closer, to touch more of him than he had so far, to really prove his point. But now wasn't the time. They had enough that he wasn't in a rush for the moment. He could enjoy dragging this out, waiting, teasing.
"I'll look forward to modelling for you later," Gilmore said, giving Theo a break from his gaze by turning his attention to the array of boots beside him. They were very nicely made. He would bring some back with him to go with his new clothes.
He smiled, scratching his beard for some distraction to stop himself from telling Theo everything right now. "We're certainly filling up our rainy days. There can be some practical demonstrations involved, too, if theory is not enough. I think I'm going to buy these-" Gilmore selected his boots, turning to Theo again. "Do you have everything you desire? Should we part with our gold and make our way back?"
