Steve's focus was on the game, or at least it was when he wasn't throwing his boyfriend kiss-me-again looks, but all of his Bucky's attention was on the blonde next to him. It didn't matter one lick to him if Steve made those shots or not. As cute as the stuffed sourball was, it had no influence whatsoever on his feelings. It was enough to Bucky to watch Steve try. And did he ever watch. Before, back before the war, it'd become habit for his eyes to roam over Steve because of the list of problems with his friend's health. But right now? He was admiring how Steve's hips moved as he lined himself up for the target. If he wanted to, he could reach out and let his fingers follow those lines on Steve's spine all the way down-
The sound of victory pulled his gaze back to the game. Cool yourself, Barnes. This was a scouting mission turned date. Not a one-way ticket to Bone Town. Even if he was allowed to look, he was pretty sure manhandling was off the menu. Steve had said that they could take this one day at a time, which Bucky was comfortable with. It was just difficult to want to take things slow but also not at the same time. There had to be a middleground somewhere.
"I don't remember you being this good. Where you been hiding this secret talent of yours?" Bucky nudged Steve playfully with his elbow as the stuffed animal came zipping down towards them. "Guess you just needed a little luck." Or the right mouthy date. Judging by the way Steve was moving in close again, it looked like he didn't mind that part at all. Bucky didn't bother hiding how smug that made him feel. That Steve was coming in for seconds already had him grinning like a damned fool. "I'm getting there. I'm just trying to think what I have to bribe you with to get you on those rollercoasters." he teased as he pushed himself into Steve's space again for a second kiss. And yeah, they were in public, sort of, but Bucky was caring less and less about what people saw or what they would think. He'd done far worse than giving in to kissing his boyfriend.
To be fair, he felt like he was only one hand-grope away from doing something obscene but he was sure he could contain himself. He was even keeping his hands to himself this time around. Sure, his lips were super-glued to Steve's at the moment but that was Steve's fault because Bucky wasn't pulling away first.
