Steve made a face over the comment, though it was clear he wasn't actually annoyed. He had been called a fossil enough times for it to stop bothering him years ago. Still, he couldn't pass up an opportunity to give Tony shit right back for it.
Before he could offer any kind of retort, an Apatosaurus leaned out into their path from the Gentle Giants petting zoo, briefly startling Steve. It was a surprise he would almost immediately recover from, because the long-necked dinosaur looked almost happy to see them, craning it's head over to the blonde. Steve laughed, scratching under the dinosaur's chin as if it were an overgrown puppy. "Sorry, buddy, I don't have anything to feed you."
Steve glanced at Tony, mildly embarrassed over how quickly he had gone from serious mission-mode to talking to a dinosaur. He cleared his throat and slipped his hands into his pockets, moving on before another creature could decide to pop it's head out for attention.
"So.. how did things go with Parker the other day?"
