"Ah, another one of those awkward teen years versions." Peter nodded like he was far beyond that phase in his life, "Good thing we outgrew that." As if saying it would make it true simply by nature of it being out there. Though Peter didn't have much hope for that, awkward was just something that seemed to be a part of who he was, no matter where he was from - if his trip into the multiverse had taught him anything, it was that Peter Parker was kind of ridiculous no matter where he was from.
But Tony was right, even an adjacent knowledge of one another was good enough in the multiverse, better than being alone with no one who knew who or what you were. Peter didn't think he was cut out for being that removed from his life. This was more than enough for him.
"So, ah." He started, "I guess you've tried figuring things out to get out of this place, I mean unless you're not a genius or something, but I mean I think you have to be at least a little bit smart to run a particle collider store. So no luck then?"
