J'mon lightly rested their chin in their open hand, leaning forward with clear interest and amusement. They had a very serene look to them most of the time - an almost unmovable sort of expression - but that had shifted now and they seemed completely fascinated with everything Willie said. They had nothing to compare these experiences to, no context for some of the words and phrases. But language was a gift, and it was easy to put the pieces together through context and to understand how these devices might work.
"I am surprised that no one has thought of this before, where I am from. It seems to be a simple enough concept, and I have known a fair few druids who would be delighted by it. Imagine what could be improved upon with just a little spark of magic. Though," they said thoughtfully, "I suspect the trill and the hint of danger is part of the appeal?"
Though there were thrills enough back home, it was still something they wished they could have taken back to Exandria with them. The Bay of Gifts seemed like the perfect place for such activities. If Willie liked the beach and the ocean as much as he seemed to, he would have adored Shamal with its soft white sands and glittering waves.
"Would you like to show me?" J'mon asked, the thoughts connecting somewhere in their mind, but hardly present in their verbal conversation. "Your skateboard, I mean. I would like to see. Is there a suitable location for this here anywhere here?"
