The smile on his face grew twice as big as he stood and listened to her give that mighty yell. Without hesitation, he joined her. His bellow became a scream coming up from somewhere deep in his belly and rising over his tongue like a battlecry. He let his voice fade with her’s, pulling back from the roof’s edge.
“Sounds like we both had demons to let out.” Bucky could empathize. Even before HYDRA, he’d always kept his feelings hidden. He always had a bright smile on his face, much like the one Ciri had worn when she’d first popped up next to him.
“Fated,” he echoed her word from earlier. “I like that.” It sounded similar, didn’t it? What were the chances that HYDRA would have chosen him as the Winter Soldier, that it would be him who had been able to survive all those years and still end up back at Steve’s side. “I think this would be nice.
