"The first Jedi we met," Din explained, "Her name was Ahsokah, Ahsokah Tano. She helped me to learn Grogu's name, some of his past, and pointed us toward Tython so we could find a Jedi willing to train him." He went on, it was - Luke should know at least some of this if he'd been the Luke from his world, maybe he knew all of this from the other Din, but he felt a need to share - to explain maybe. He didn't know, but it had been a long time since he'd just been able to talk without feeling like he was always stepping closer to the end of the line.
She'd had her own mission though, that would keep her from training Grogu, and the darkness she'd sensed in him. Din had to believe there was more though, he couldn't have been so moved to betray everything he'd ever known for a being that wasn't worth that sacrifice.
"I-" He started and stopped, shaking his head. "A little familiarity is probably a good thing right now." This might not be the Luke he'd known, they may not have even truly known one another, but compared to the others that filled this place? Luke was assuredly a familiar face.
