It wasn't so long a time, even though it felt like it now and again. Luke had gained a lot of skill when it came to having patience but it was hard sometimes to not feel a little frustrated in a place like this. Even if he did try his best to keep that to himself.
"I'm a Jedi," Luke said with a little nod, "And have been for some time now." Well, a few years. Which was, in fact, some time in a literal sense anyway. Luke was young, but most Jedi started younger yet.
At Din's question, Luke paused in his walk and regarded his companion for a moment. Even with the helmet, conversation felt easy. "Your story is important and I'd like to hear it." It didn't matter if he knew little details or the whole story, Din deserved a chance to say what was important no matter what some other version of himself had done already. This was new for him, and he shouldn't have felt the need to ask if it had been done already, because technically it hadn't.
