Time was a funny thing here -- far more than planetary travel and light-speed would ever make it. Even someone with an open mind and a broader concept of how things in the universe were connected and existed still had some trouble understanding it. Luke had spent a lot of his first month here inspecting the invisible barriers of the island, wandering the halls of the hotel in order to feel out how it worked. If you pushed too hard, the place sent you back to your room.
Luke was well versed in winding up in his room, these days.
Since then he'd taken to looking for escape less and focusing more on the people around him. There were a lot of people from different places, all interesting. And there were people from his own galaxy. He had Padawans now - and until recently Grogu had been one of them. Luke felt for Din, knew how attached he was to his child. To be without him was heartbreaking.
So he'd do his best to make things easy on him, at least until the day Grogu showed back up. "Din," Luke greeted, wearing black clothes but offering a sunny sort of smile. "Or do you prefer Mando for now?"
