He could tell Phasma was feeling out of her depth, which had to be a first for his warrior princess. Noah tightened his grip on her shoulders and pulled her closer, letting he take comfort in their unity. It was going to be a tough few months, but as long as they were able to rely on one another for support, they would be fine. He had to believe that.
"I trust Melissa," he said softly, knowing that trust would mean more to Phasma than any number of diplomas or letters after her name. "I'll speak to her," Noah promised. That was going to be one helluva conversation from the get-go. He'd tell Stiles first, not because he didn't want him finding out any other way, though he knew Melissa wouldn't spill the details. "I'm going to be having a bunch of awkward conversations ahead, aren't I?" he said smiling down at his woman with affection. And they would all be worth it, eventually, he thought with a smile.
"Tell me if I'm out of place, Phasma," his face becoming more concerned. "Are you scared?" Noah asked. "Neither of us anticipated that this could actually happen but now that it has does being a mother frighten you? Or is it just the pregnancy that you find daunting?" He was getting seriously worried vibes from his partner, though not negatively so. He could tell she was happy about the child but was it the process that troubled her? Or the hotel?
