She liked hearing him talk about his family. Hers was... complicated, and she didn't have as many good memories of it as he had of his. She knew that not everything was happy memories for Noah either, he'd shared some of those stories with her as well, but that only made good ones seem better, in her opinion. She was glad that he had those, too. It gave him a perspective that sometimes she didn't think she had where it concerned interpersonal relationships. Sometimes she just expected things to go sideways, because that was the only thing she'd ever really known before coming here and meeting him.
Phasma waited for the realization to truly hit him, smiling softly, nodding when he looked up at her. Back in the Scyre she doubted this would have even been possible - and she'd assumed it wasn't possible, even now. So it had come as much of a shock to her as it did to him. There were a lot of different factors at play, though, and perhaps this environment was more conducive to it. In the end, it was the one thing she had always wanted but had never thought she would have. It made her more protective of her Troopers, though. More attentive. So at least the First Order had been right about that. But that was all in the past, now, and whatever future was laid out in front of her had made this not only possible but a reality.
She laughed at his comment and leaned into him. "I thought so too, to be honest," she teased back. But then again, it did explain a lot of things she'd been going through over the past two months. She was relieved for that explanation if nothing else. "There's time to get ready," she continued, settling herself a little closer to him so she could soak up his warmth and excitement. "But you've raised one very capable child, and I've raised two-" who would have survived, if not for Parnassos, but the odds were against even the strongest people there. "I think we can manage it."
