Finn stifled a chuckle. "I could see the climbability." Then he paused mid-step, re-thought how that came out and coughed. "What I mean to say-" Since Kylo had a hard time with his method of joking. "-is I am sure there are people..." He just let the rest of the sentence go. There really was no making the statement any better.
Their threats had been exchanged and then moved on from. Finn was smart enough to know he did not want to be a problem for the only friends he ever had. He had wanted to be more and maybe they had become after his time, but right now, he was trying to sludge through the awkwardness of everything without causing problems with any of them. Kylo, now, felt like he would suddenly bear hug him for no reason. Not softer than he was as Kylo Ren, but like he would force choke you with friendship.
Stepping next to the other man, Finn shrugged. His limp becoming more prominent as the pain killers and adrenaline started wearing down. "Eventually I need to go see Rey. No one seems to think I'm capable of wrapping my own wounds," he mentioned with a soft smile curling on his lips.
"Finding your own way is harder than I thought it would be." It had been nice to have the instant connection to Poe and Rey, but it had not made anything easier per say. But navigating personal relationships on a non-mindless soldier level was difficult.
