That wasn't a weird reaction. At all. Laying an egg himself. Okay. There had been nothing in their mutual past that left Finn with the feeling that he would make joking comments, so he was thrown off by it. A pet might have been a nice gift, if he knew how to take care of one. It was odd to think of Kylo as having had a more normal life before he was an apprentice to Snook. Of course, his entire family line were legends told in story to children, but Finn could imagine a far less stark environment- especially after meeting Leia.
Instinct had Finn step back when the lightsabre was presented. The fight between might have left some PTSD reactions toward seeing Kylo with a weapon. "I never knew that she had a lightsaber," he said quietly, taking in the object that looked close to what Finn had used in their fight.
Nodding, Finn agreed. That did not make it less awkward but at least it was stated. Diverting his eyes to make it less an issue, Finn could get through this. He got through chatting with Hux without a lot of violence. That did not mean his heart wasn't still racing with nervousness.
"Tage?" He asked before realizing that was a shortened version of Hux's first name. If Finn was honest, he thought Hux was the man's first name. "Poe was the one that told me about the healing, but yeah. I spoke with Rey and... Hux." Nope, he just couldn't. They weren't there yet. Not after a couple of days. Though the strange concern over his safety when fighting the rabbits from Hux had been something unexpected.
"Is a family dinner coming next?" He attempted to joke.
