Being on the run from the Wild Hunt made life a particularly active one, including bouncing between worlds, so if they could not get her while she was with the hotel, she needed to keep herself in shape.
Other people in the hotel were obviously more than capable. There were patrols and such that were set up. Ciri merely had become used to at least a short practice time in the morning sun. If she became too deep in thought the time extended and she tried not to kill the trees around her in her coping mechanism.
