With his head tipped slightly, Caduceus watched Caleb's hands sliding up his chest, felt the pleasant prickling of his fur as it was brushed the wrong way, felt his breathing hitch. He was- nervous? That was probably the right word. He didn't need to think twice about returning the embrace, his arms dropping to wind around Caleb, to hold him close. A tremble ran through him at so much contact, but it was good. His skin tingled all over, eager for the nearness.
"Oh-" he gasped at the fingers in his hair, at the way it seemed to light all of him up. It was a lot. Bowing his head, he rested his brow against Caleb's shoulder, letting his own fingers trace the dip of the other man's spine, up around the back of his ribs, then down, down again to where Caleb's body started to softly curve to his backside, where he abruptly stopped. The twist of fingers in his longer hair drew another soft noise from Caduceus, surprised and pleased at the sensations.
Lifting his head again, Caduceus watched Caleb once more with wonder, the colour of his hair against Caduceus' fur. This was nice. But like, a thousand times nicer than he had imagined.
His eyes obediently closed, his eyelashes fluttering as Caleb's hand covered them too. Caduceus could hear his heart hammering rapidly, unfamiliar, new warmth curling in his belly.
"I believe in you," he said quietly, grinning as he waited.
And wow. Wow indeed. The spring was already so beautiful, this new addition took his breath away. Like he had enough to steal.
"That's gorgeous." Caduceus relinquished his grip on Caleb to let him slip away, following him to the edge slowly, unsure of what to do or if he could touch Caleb again or if that was it. It had been lovely. He didn't think he'd been missing out, he didn't think anything had particularly changed in him, but it was a new tiny thing that was blooming from a seed that had been taking root for some time.
He stood himself by Caleb's knees, lifting a hand to stroke his fingers from knee to mid-thigh. "That would be- I'd like that," Caduceus confirmed, dipping his head to kiss Caleb's knee, looking up at him. "Why don't you get comfortable and I'll bring tea over to you?" He pushed down his nerves and pressed a kiss a few inches higher. Caleb's skin was warm and dusted with tiny hairs, and Caduceus looked forward to feeling them when they were dry, too. "And more of me."
