Even with Caleb's hair rinsed Caduceus stayed close, the soapy, bubbly water around them giving what he assumed was enough privacy for Caleb. He fussed slightly, tucking a few strands back behind Caleb's ear (so tiny, how did humans even hear things?) and sliding his fingers through the hair on top of his head as though it needed it.
"I have- I mean, it probably won't surprise you to know that our parents just let us run wild in the day and then put us all in the bath together before bed. But mom used to brush our hair for us when we were sad or sick," Caduceus smiled, his hands finally dropping away as he waded over to the basket again, poking around once more until he found something else to suit his needs. Once more he tipped some of the contents into his hands, less viscous that the previous one had been, and returned to his wizard.
"Hopefully this will be nice," he said, taking one of Caleb's hands and beginning to massage firmly but carefully over his fingers, his palm, his wrist, then starting up his forearm. "If it isn't nice just say and I'll stop, yeah?"
Of course it was incredibly self-indulgent. He got to touch Caleb and satisfy his curiosity, but he also hoped it was enjoyable for Caleb. Perhaps there were less finesse than how Caleb was used to being touched by another person, but Caduceus assumed his lack of any kind of experience was evident anyway, and there was no danger of Caleb being accidentally titillated by his touches.
Caduceus moved around to the side so that he could reach Caleb's bicep, sliding his fingers over his skin, fascinated by how different it was to his own.
