"Yes, that's definitely one of the many brilliant things about this place. No ecosystems to hurt. And the plants take care of themselves-" Caduceus' eyes moved over the scars on Caleb's arms, no judgement in his gaze, just interest. "-Still, I may have watered the ones you put in my room," he grinned, turning around to pick up the little vial of Caleb scented soap, tipping some into his palm. "It's a shame..." a shame the others weren't here to experience how lovely Caleb would smell. But it was nice to get to spend some time with him alone. Caduceus couldn't remember that ever happening before.
Lathering up his hands, Caduceus bobbed behind Caleb, gently scooping his hair up, running his fingers through it to cover as much as possible before he began to massage the soap in. Already the scent was rising up, mixing in the warm, steamy air. This was nice. It had been such a long time. Maybe twelve years? He'd washed and braided Calliope's hair before she left the grove. It was different when it was someone he wasn't related to. When it was his friend.
The massage moved more firmly to Caleb's scalp, focusing on helping the other man relax as much as washing him. He stood up but kept a polite space between their bodies. But at least he had the chance now to admire Caleb's skin, and his little ears, curiosity taking over for a moment as he ran his finger around the shell of it.
And then maybe his attention drifted to where the tiny hairs at the nape of Caleb's neck melted into nothing but pale skin.
He breathed in deep again, refocusing his attention on Caleb's fiery hair. It reminded him of torchlight. And that was nice.
Cupping water in his big hands, Caduceus began to rinse the bubbles out, watching them run in rivulets down Caleb's back. Of course he could just ask Caleb to dunk himself under the water, but this was nicer.
