Caduceus listened, and nodded, and had nothing helpful at all to add. If none of Caleb's spells had much of an effect then there would be little he could do. And whilst the thought of pulling more of their friends here seemed unnecessarily harsh, Beau was considerably smarter, she would be considerably more helpful than Caduceus was. She and Caleb had an understanding, their brains worked the same way. Getting Beau here might be helpful. And Caduceus would assist however he could. Of course he would.
And if he had been brought here then there had to be a reason. There had to be something he could do.
That something possibly had to do with the harried look on Caleb's face and the way he was holding so tightly to Caduceus' hand. He wasn’t a problem solved, he was a carer, and his wizard needed some taking care of.
“Do you want me to run you a bath?” Caduceus asked. “I can do that and then make you some tea. And maybe some food. You look like you need it. Is it- what time is it now?”
He looked towards the window. There was light, but it could be early, it could be afternoon.
"I have some things that will help you sleep. Or something to help you relax. And then once we make it out the other side of a good nap we'll be able to work out what to do next." The we being Caleb, of course. Caduceus was just here for moral support. "I'll take care of you."
