Eddie couldn’t help follow her hand with his eyes, tracing the strap just as much as her fingers did and maybe lingering a little bit too long at the skin beneath it before he made himself move back toward the wall, closing the distance between them but then moving away too. He braced with his back against the wall, arms spread behind him to hold himself up and give his legs a rest. “Your interests seem far more varied than mine, I may need to come for advice when I get bored.” Though some of their leisure activities seemed to overlap, Eddie had a tendency to fall mostly into the library, the kitchen or kitting somewhere. And occasionally sleeping around.
“Well, if you ever still need a four a.m. bed share, I don’t have a roommate.” he offered casually. He more than understood that particular need, “Though sometimes I’m in Stan’s room. Occasionally Salim’s. Or Jinn and J’mon’s…” he likely would have taken up sharing with Bev too, if she didn’t have a roommate he’d be bothering. “For mostly the same reason. I’d be willing to assume most of them would mind either.” He was sure Jinn and J’mon wouldn’t, Stan he could see going either way, possibly depending on the day. And, while it wasn’t really an offer of a relationship in the traditional sense, it was an offer to insert herself into whatever it was he’d been building over the past months. Almost family he supposed, but not quite, something a little different too.
He laughed a little. It really wasn’t all that far off from what he’d been doing already, though he hadn’t thought about it enough that he’d have been able to put it into words the way she had. “Apparently, we have similar hotel life philosophies.” And he knew, at least one shared person between them. “Richie was calling it my hot girl summer, and I do not get the reference in the slightest but he thought it was funny.”
