It wasn't like Levi had refused Erwin so much as implied he might like to explore themselves and each other together -- which was a path in itself, he thought. But maybe it was like taking a slight turn instead of a sharp one.
Maybe that suited them, they were often cautious in life if only because they had to be. Although the both of them were capable of making big, bold decisions without warning, too.
He quirked an eyebrow at Erwin, somewhat bemused. "Of course you're a romantic," he said, less because he knew that and more because it felt like something Erwin would say. "You gonna court me, then?" Levi asked, both charmed and amused that it took Erwin a long rambling road to get to what he was trying to say. He was lucky that Levi wasn't offended by Erwin using Marie as a comparison - or getting distracted enough to suggest Hotel Leadership in this conversation. Well, he always had been more talkative than Levi, who packed as much punch into as few words as possible when he could manage it.
"Yeah," he decided, since Erwin looked like he was looking for an answer and Levi wasn't being particularly forthcoming. "I want that. Let's learn some shit. Tea and dinner and -- whatever it is people do around here." Levi given the option probably would have moved faster but -- well. Compromise.
