"Almost ten years." Neville told him, really it had been ten, since Harry had not been there for seventh year and most of them never really counted it, but that seemed like too much information for now. "We're both 26...when I'm from." And didn't that sound weird.
Neville smiled a little, "He's doing great. He's just gotten named head of the Auror Office, he's married and has one kid and another coming." Something about Harry not being there seemed to make Neville worry less about sharing things about his life. And maybe some of it was guilt that he knew Sirius would never see any of it. "Sometimes he even lets me and McGonagall convince him to lecture at Hogwarts."
Neville took on a softer tone, as he sat back in his chair. He wouldn't ever make Sirius stay, but the man looked like he could use a real meal and some rest. "You're safe, you know," He offered quietly. "Everyone knows what really happened now. With Pettigrew. The only person you might need to watch for is your brother. He didn't seem to be much of a fan."
