Eddie laughed, "We were honestly insufferable most of the time." He knew their fights weren't really fights, that the bickering had been closer to sibling rivalry than anything malicious and, in a lot of ways, was the two of them just finding their ways to get the attention they wanted. Even if it was usually only from each other.
"He's taller." Eddie smiled, despite the clench in his chest that came whenever he thought about Richie being gone, and just tried to remind himself that he was just home, and he'd be happier there, now that It was gone. "He used to say that all the time though. He'd call me cute and pinch my cheeks because he knew it'd get me all worked up." But he'd never hated it, not really. And he didn't now either. "He was always good at distracting me when I started to worry too much."
Eddie hadn't realized that he'd closed his eyes while remembering his friend, his childhood, but he opened them again when Salim mentioned the lights. "Yeah, of course." Eddie reached over to turn off the bedside lights, glad they were the only ones on and he didn't need to get up.
