J'mon hummed softly and nodded. It took a truly special kind of person to think more of the overall picture than they did of their own safety or survival. Not everyone had that sort of heroism within them. It was something to be proud of. But J'mon also knew that it would take time for Eddie to realize that himself. It was something they could work on.
"It is a difficult thing to remember," they said, pulling one hand away to cradle their chin in their palm. "But a grand one. You do not know how much pure bravery you possess. It is one thing to face something like that when you are not afraid, but it is another entirely to be afraid and to do it anyway. I think it is marvelous. The fact that you still fight it, is marvelous." There was nothing in their tone to suggest that they weren't sincere, either. It wasn't an empty platitude, J'mon meant it completely.
"Come here," J'mon said, "closer. I want you to tell me more. If you are comfortable with the telling."
