J'mon tilted their head softly to the side and leaned forward slightly, interested and sympathetic all at once. There was just enough softness to their features to distract from the overall alien appearance and their kind was made to be particularly expressive. It was easier yet with their human eyes - deep, rich brown - than it was with the more reptilian set. "I have forgotten much of mine as well, but that was many centuries ago. Humans live such short lives that it seems terrible you should ever have to forget any of it. You remember now, though, yes?"
They didn't mean to pry exactly, but Eddie had opened up the door and it was a story he seemed to want to tell. J'mon would never turn down a story, either. It may have been a painful one, but those were always best purged from the spirit through the telling. And if anyone could understand a certain kind of strangeness, it was J'mon. In the last two decades in particular they had seen some incredibly odd things.
