Daphne blinked at the super specific analogy, but it was helpful. Leaving background music on was something she'd done often, but it was going to be feeling instead of a sound. "Oh good, because that would be awful." And very inconvenient. She would definitely have to practice it a lot, but she didn't know if that's something she could do now with a roommate. But he appeared to be pretty social and liked to not be in the room.
She could also just practice in the mausoleum. She was going to do that after she got a better handle on it here.
"Okay. One more time then." Again she repeated the hand gesture to make sure she remembered it properly. He'd just showed it to her, but she'd only done the spell the one time. His gentle encouragement and belief that she could actually do the spell gave her more confidence, despite her uncertainty. She felt out around her again and tried making it cooler as it was still warm from when she adjusted it the last time.
Instead of asking more questions, she just focused on trying to hold it. She knew it wouldn't be immediately familiar, but at least she wanted to know how it felt so she could seek it out to maintain when the time came.
The cool air kissed her skin and she tried to push it even further so she could see her breath. It was slowly getting uncomfortable, but she wanted to see if it was something she could do. Even that could be useful later. She was also trusting Strange to stop her if she'd gone too far.
