"For a date? Learning spells for person gain, hm?" Strange teased, planting his hands upon his hips. He tried to maintain a serious expression, but eventually, a smile spread across his lips. Yet another thing that would have been frowned upon back in his own reality, especially coming from the sorcerer supreme. However, Stephen couldn't exactly point fingers. He was just as guilty of it here at the hotel. He wasn't going to tell Daphne no. He was just giving her a hard time.
Besides, the mausoleum was an incredibly romantic location for a date, in his opinion. Strange couldn't allow Daphne and her beau getting chilly out there, could he?
"Very well," he nodded, "Let's begin." He stepped away from Daphne, giving her some room. "When changing the temperature in a given space, you must first consider how much energy you'll need to summon to accomplish it. Here, for example, in the sanctum, it shouldn't require much. We're already at the ideal temperature for the human body. Outside, though, where it's below freezing, it'll be slightly more difficult to make your given space warm. Give it a try, though. Summon energy, just like you would with the protection spell. Try to reach out with your mind, connect with the air around you and make this gesture," he paused, demonstrating it for her, "Then, you should be able to influence it to become colder. Or warmer, depending on your will."
