Daphne was mostly expecting to learn the enchantment part, but she watched as he quickly did it himself and handed them back to her. She simply slipped them back into the pouch assuming that they'd build up to it with how he spoke of it. His shadow was still drawing her attention from him periodically, but only because it was so damn bizarre and off-putting.
It was just creepy, but she was trying not to let it get to her. She'd fought monsters for a whole year before showing up here, so how was it that the shadow was making her skin crawl a bit. "Just a little distracting," she said with a sigh, trying to focus on the man and not the shade he cast.
When he questioned her on why she wanted to learn the temperature spell specifically, her cheeks flushed. She felt embarrassed at how selfish the root of the request really was, but answered him honestly. "I wanted to find a way to keep the mausoleum warm for a date?" They probably could've built a fire or got a space heater, but the spell just sounded really convenient. "But I guess it could also come in handy if we ever end up in a place where there isn't any power like the one with the giant bugs?"
