"Steve's a good man," she said easily. While she'd backed Tony on the registration and railed against Steve's ideals, she knew he only did things he believed were right. But so did Tony. Tony was just more willing to be openly hated for it, probably because of how much he hated himself already. There was that self-sabotaging cycle she saw, but the Tony here didn't appear to be nearly as far along as the one she knew. She thanked every creation deity in existence for that.
"And you won't cause problems." Pepper clearly took this as Bucky taking interest if he was even bringing it up. She knew Tony was an attractive and charismatic man. She'd fallen for him herself. She'd really fallen for him, not that she'd say that out loud. It was displayed in other ways, but she didn't believe she owned him.
It was a wonder another bird showed up and she just stared at it. "I've never seen these before?" She said as a fourth one settled down on the dryer. It's little claws tapped the metal as it hopped toward them. "This looks really familiar in the not-good way," she said slowly backing away toward the door. And that's when one dive bombed her out of nowhere.
