Well, that was an unexpected confession. She was sure she would've heard something from Bucky much earlier if there was an issue with what had happened on Valentine's Day. Well. Maybe. Men were wired differently around that time, even though Bucky seemed to be much more comfortable around her than she'd expected. When you only had movies to go by and people talking about "the good old days", things got a little misleading.
"Valentine's day," she said with a nod and a laugh. "Well, it's been pretty much the same really. That day was just..." Pepper couldn't find the right word for it, but it had definitely been a gamechanger. She'd seen Tony desperate before, but the memory alone made her body flush with heat. She bit her lip to stifle a moan.
She cleared her throat. "It was good. Love to hear that you and Steve had a good time." Sure, he hadn't mentioned Steve, but he was washing the man's clothes and Pepper might not talk to everyone, but a lot of people talked to Tony. And the conversation they held in those messages sounded a lot like Bucky could have been jealous about what had transpired between them, but wasn't.
"Tried some new fun things," was about as far as she was going to get before a bird came out of nowhere and settled on washing machine above the dials. While she thought it was weird, she was ignoring it for now.
