She'd always figured it was rude to ask people their age, especially when individuals never lived to very advanced years in the Scyre. While age was seen as something to be respected and revered it was almost something that could come with a lot of doubt and arrogant little upstarts trying to claim your position. Still, it occurred to her that she had no idea how old Noah was, only that his son was an adult and that she liked the little smile-lines around his eyes. She supposed that was the only really important thing. And if he wanted to bring up the topic more in-depth that was another thing altogether.
There may have also been a slight blush to her cheeks when she looked back up at him, after the compliment. She could just as well blame it on the cold, but it was there all the same. She'd gotten so few genuine compliments that didn't have something to do with her strength or her capabilities in battle. It was nice. But she supposed it did compliment her complexion nicely, didn't it?
"I haven't had any significant complaints about the clothing. Though it did take me quite some time to get used to being out of my armor again." She wasn't sure she was entirely used to it now, but the more casual attire of the hotel was beginning to grow on her. It had just been so long that the chrome had begun to feel like a second skin.
She hadn't done enough exploring to know where the dance hall was, and she had little experience with these kinds of places back home. Every time she'd been planetside she'd been on a mission and there had been no time for frivolity. But she knew cantinas and music halls tended to be in the seedier ends of town, firmly out of sight from anyone who'd call themselves "proper". And yet she also knew that many of those proper people frequented them all the same. But there was a self-deception in not having to look at it. "I prefer a live band," she said with a smile and a shrug. "It feels more... organic, I suppose. Not that there's anything wrong with records, but if I had a choice."
She was a little more excited by the music, at least. The dancing part might have made her hesitate, but she liked the raw, brassy sounds of this music and she knew she would enjoy that. And experiencing it with Noah, who she was quickly growing fond of, only made it better.
