Isaac was trying to get used to this new place. He'd so far mostly avoided dealing with things he wasn't ready to deal with. Things being Allison. He'd watched her die. In Scott's arms, at that. Sure, they had something going on once, but it was Isaac she was with. It was Isaac who loved her. It didn't matter if Scott did or not. She was his. At least he thought so. But it hadn't felt like it then. That hadn't meant he hadn't been devastated to lose her. He loved her. Isaac had never been in love, but he'd loved Allison.
Then she died.
It was hard. But he'd stayed, he'd fought the Nogistune and they'd won. But not without loss. Allison, Aiden. They'd both died. After that, Isaac just hadn't wanted to be in Beacon Hills anymore. So when Chris Argent had suggested they go to France, Isaac had taken him up on it.
Then he'd ended up here. Where somehow, Allison was still alive. But Isaac had been to chicken shit to talk to her.
So, instead, he'd come to play video games. Just mindless car racing, or currently, Mortal Kombat, so he could fight and get some of his stress out. That's when he heard a familiar voice and before he knew it, Stiles had plopped down next to him.
Isaac was focused on his game, but he still acknowledged his friend. "Mortal Kombat. I'm getting my ass kicked." Sure enough, Sonya knocked him on his ass for at least the third time since the match had started. "Damnit!" He yelled when she finished him with a gruesome finishing move and claimed victory. Isaac pulled his hands off the joystick and buttons and looked over at Stiles.
"What are you doing here? Figured you'd be out exploring old time world or whatever."
