Han really didn't mind being thrust into a parental role. He had a kid here who was almost as old as he was, after all, and it wouldn't really be the first time he'd taken someone under his wing like that. Besides, Rey seemed like a good kid. She was easy to like. He didn't mind hanging around and making sure she didn't get into too much trouble. A little bit was fine, but the fun stopped when the law showed up.
He gave her a slight shrug as he slipped the cigarette case into his pocket. "Gun, bullets, newspaper, some money, a pretty ugly sweater..." that was about the just of it. Nothing overly personal. He didn't think much of the weapons either. If anything he thought it would be stupid not to have one. "Nothing too interesting, but I didn't really expect to find much." Han didn't really intend to swipe anything out of the car, but he had trouble sitting still at the best of times and liked poking at things.
"At this rate?" he said. "A good long while. They don't even have the power systems to begin building anything like a speeder and it doesn't look like they're going in any sort of direction to get there either." It wasn't even that difficult, but this thing ran on an internal combustion engine and that was definitely not the right direction. Besides, gasoline? Not exactly the most stable fuel source. "I'd give 'em a couple hundred years to get the first model out," he said. "And that's giving them a good deal of credit."
