Who: Ben & Hux.
Where: Hux's room.
When: Late Monday night.
What: Droid drama.
Status: Completed.
Warnings: Just fluff.
Over the course of the day, BB-9E had been acting strange. His odd behavior was inconsistent, though. Inconsistent enough that Hux believed he was imagining it. Just when he brought his full attention to it, 9E was back to normal. It wasn't until late at night did the droid really start to show that it was malfunctioning. Hux had just been crawling into bed when the beeps and blips broke the silence of his room. Normally, 9E was a quiet droid, even when he was in BB-8's company, so the sudden noise had Hux exceptionally worried. Stark probably should have been the first person Hux tried to message. He was the one who had worked on 9E, so he was the one most familiar with the droid's interior. But surely Tony was asleep by now. Or at the very least, not keen on being bothered. Hux thought about reaching out to Rey and Poe next, but neither of them gave off the impression that they could easily fix a glitching droid. Meanwhile, Hux was sure that Ben knew how to solve this problem. He just wasn't sure if inviting him over was such a good idea. Not that things were uneasy between them. In fact, if anything, they were getting along better than they ever had. It was just a slippery slope, this place they had reached. Hux wasn't just comfortable with Ben's company. He was starting to miss him when he wasn't around. And Hux wasn't convinced that either of them were ready for what was bound to follow. But this was something of an emergency. This wasn't about feelings or whether or not Hux had them. This was about the droid that he had come to care for greatly. So he pulled out his phone, sending Ben a vague, 𝙷𝚎𝚢, 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚖𝚢 𝚛𝚘𝚘𝚖. 𝙳𝚘𝚘𝚛'𝚜 𝚞𝚗𝚕𝚘𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚍. |
