"No olives it is," she said pushing the bottle to the side. She liked them, but she could eat them some other time. This spread was going to be one for her and Poe to share, specifically tailored to his liking. She took the pieces of cheese she'd already cubed and set them down somewhere random, before moving on to the next block and repeating until she had a little rainbow of different types of cheeses. Then she spread the meat beneath it and tried to think of what fruits to add.
Fruit was a bit tricky. The textures were different depending and some were damn near impossible, to her, to prepare. She was going back to the fridge and replacing the left over items when he started to speak up again. She was in the middle of grabbing some grapes, apples, and mandarin oranges, before what he said really settled in. She'd been focusing on what was easy, until he mentioned Finn was gone.
Then he tripped over Hux's name again. It had always felt like Hux didn't want her to know. He'd never corrected her calling him by his last name, despite their shared kisses. Phasma referred to him as Armitage with ease and Poe stored it like a secret he wasn't supposed to share. She wondered what Ben called him. The other thing was by inviting him...well, it felt like Poe wasn't expecting Finn to actually come back.
If he did come back, would he be the same Finn that had left? Would he come from later? Would he come from earlier? The hotel was so confusing in that way. It was something to take into consideration when answering the question. But she couldn't deny that the idea was a tempting one and that the chaotic nature of the hotel really only allowed one to seize opportunities instead of wait to see what happened. She finished splaying out the wedges of orange and turned to him.
She liked it when he sat on the counter, slightly taller than her due to the raised surface. "Well," she said sliding her hands between his knees. She spread them so that she could slip between his legs. Rey wrapped her arms around his waist, interlocking her fingers behind him, while looking up. "He did only get to enjoy the star projector that one time," she said nudging his chin with her nose.
