"The turtle and the scorpion is parable," she began. "A scorpion asks a turtle to take him across a pond. The turtle agrees with the provision that the scorpion doesn't sting him. The scorpion says he won't, but half way across the pond he stings the turtle, dooming them both. The turtle asks him why he did that and the scorpion replies 'It's in my nature'." And just in case Dean didn't get the analogy... "It means you can't expect someone to be something outside their nature. In this case, a Knight of Hell can't be expected to hand out daisies and help grannies across the road."
